Posted on Tue, 9 Jun 2015
Question: Hello. me and my boyfriend always had protected sex but i'm afraid that he didnt put condom on the right way the last time we had sex (because the the condom slipped off a bit). i am wondering if i should take plan B since i don't want to take any risks. However, one problem is i also took XXXXXXX last Wednesday since i'm afraid that the condom came off. Is there side effects if I take Plan-B after taking Ella? Is is gonna increase the possibility of pregnancy?
I'm not on any regular birth control right now. The first pill I'm taking is gonna be this Sunday

Brief Answer:
You should take plan B.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for trusting us with your health concern.
The slipping off of condom can cause a pregnancy. It is better to take XXXXXXX or Plan B to prevent the pregnancy. Taking such pills frequently can cause an irregular spotting or bleeding followed by a delayed period.
It is best to start taking a regular contraceptive to avoid the period abnormalities.

Brief Answer:
It can cause irregular periods for next 1-2 cycles.

Detailed Answer:
Hello.
Thanks for writing again.
You can take plan B. The side effects will be irregular bleeding or spotting and delayed periods. The chances of pregnancy are nearly 5% if it was not your fertile period.
