Brief Answer:
Please wait 2 to 3 weeks before starting to smoke tobacco or marijuana

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for writing in to us.

I have read through your query in details.
Septoplasty is a surgery which might take up to 6 weeks for complete healing of the surgical site. Smoking can cause irritation of the mucosal lining and cause bleeding of the surgical site if done too early. I suggest waiting at least 2 to 3 weeks before smoking tobacco or marijuana. This much time is the least required for the initial healing of surgical wound and prevent serious complications.

Please feel free to correct any oversight in my interpretation of your problems and discuss them in detail as per your requirements.

Hope your query is answered.
Do write back if you have any doubts.

Regards,
Dr.Vivek
