Question: I am on Subutex for pain but the doctor also gave me hydromorphone for breakthrough pain. Will it work?

Subutex ( Buprenorphine ) and hydromorphone are both opioid analgesics. Both are effective in pain relief and would work in alleviating your pain. Make sure to avoid driving or operating any machinery after using both.

In your previous question you mentioned cyst on S1 nerve. Gabapentin works well in pain associated with neurological disorders. You may discuss this option with your doctor as one of the opioids may be replaced with gabapentin at XXXXXXX dose.
