Question: Hi my baby is 40 days old. Need to check is it safe to give her formula milk and in what ratio ? Thanks

Brief Answer: Breast milk is best Detailed Answer: Hi Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic. It is safe to give formula to baby. You need to keep in mind a few things. Firstly you have to prepare the formula as described on the packing. The amount of formula added to water should not be less or more than that. Secondly you have to use clean water (not tap water or mineral water) to prepare the formula. The source of water may be reverse osmosis technique. Thirdly select a formula that has least of extra chemicals (apart from iron, vitamins and milk components). Avoid formulas that contain omega 3, 6, 9 as it can have some side effects.
