Brief Answer:
Not ok to give Meftal

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

Meftal is not a very good drug to bring down the temperature. I recommend you to give syrup Ibugesic plus instead, it brings down the temperature and takes care of the throat pain as well. It contains a combination of paracetamol and ibuprophen.

I also recommend you to

1. avoid cold beverages
2. Keep him warm at all times
3. If he is able to gargle then salt water gargling in the best
4. If he is still spiking fever for more than 48 hours then he will need to be treated with antibotics
5. Avoid milk and milk products

I wish him a speedy recovery

Regards
