Brief Answer:
Manually it is not possible to bring down the larynx from its position...

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thanks for posting query

I have gone through the history, understood your problem, I will try my best to help you with this.

1. Manually it is not possible to stretch the larynx or singing or screaming cannot get your larynx down from its original position.

2. Voice do change in individuals as the age progress because of the calcification of the thyroid cartilage.

3. I do feel you need to consult a good phonosurgeon in order to evaluate the movements and length of the vocal cords, and address any other associated anatomical or physiological issues.

4. You may also, require vocal therapy and vocal cord hygiene to regain your voice back.

5. Do not worry! With appropriate measures, this problem can be taken care of.

6.Yes, there are various thyroplasties available, but it's purely reserved for the cases which fail with medical treatment.

Hope I have answered your query; Revert back to me if you have any follow-up queries.
