Brief Answer: Can get shingles after having the shot.... Detailed Answer: Hi, A single shingles shot is done in individuals older than 60 years old (as you are according to the medical record of yours). This shot (vaccine) can reduce the chances to get shingles after vaccination; however, there are people who get shingles after having the shot. In such cases, there is less pain or the disease is much milder than if not vaccinated. Hope it answered to your inquiries! If you have more questions, feel free to write me back! I'd be happy to assist you further! Dr.Bardha
