Is It Possible To Get Genital Warts From Someone's Hands?

Question: I will be XXXXXXX Recently I had gone for a vacation to Hong Kong and visited a massage parlour. I am scared that I may have contracted warts. The exposure took place like 3 months back. I only got a full body massage and a hand job in the end for 5 mins. I am not sure of the masseuses hygiene. I discovered a black flat wart like substance on the penis shaft adjacent to my scrotum. I am highly paranoid. Can there be a single black genital wart only. However I applied alovera gel on discovering it. It subsided in 3 days however there are still a few remains around it. I could send a picture for clarity. Initially on discovering it when I press it there was a pus like watery discharge from it with minimal bleeding like just a small dot. The infection seems so flat as if my skin is discoloured. Further is the massesuse had used unhygienic hands is it possible to get the infection if she had a client prior to me. I did not engage in else but this. No prior sexual partners. Please assist me and is it possible that a wart start to of in just 3 days of using alovera

Brief Answer: Thank you for using HCM, I would love to help Detailed Answer: it is possible to get genital warts from someone's hands if indeed she had been in contact with someone else and did not practice good hygiene. she also may have had warts in her own hands. however, if she practices good hygeine, then the risk is extremely small. what you describe may or may not be a wart. the fact that it is black seems to suggest that it may not be a wart, as warts are typically white or skin color. even if you are dark skinned the wart is usually a little lighter than your skin. however, even if it was dark, it is still possible that it was a wart. another thing is that warts aren't as easy to get rid of as it sounds like yours was, so I am skeptical if it even was a wart at all. you should know however, that although warts can be ugly and very bothersome, they are not XXXXXXX at all, and are generally just a nuisance. once they are gone the chances of transmitting them are less, but still possible. often they will resolve on their own, but sometimes they require removal. if this thing goes away and you don't see it again, I don't think you need to worry too much about it. if it persists, you should have a doctor remove it and send it for pathology so that you can know for sure what it was. I hope this is helpful, feel free to ask me if you have any more questions. if you want to send me a picture that may be helpful, but I will still not be able to tell you for sure without being able to take a biopsy myself.

Where can I send you a picture. The reason I am worried is that suppose I contracted a wart can hpv 16 also be contacted this way from the genitals of the earlier person to my genitals or does it have to be direct contact One more thing if it is not a wart what else can it be. It is a circular black flat substance. What else can have a similar description. The best way to describe what it was is that it had an appearance of an injury type black which was circular

Brief Answer: Thanks for the follow up, glad to help Detailed Answer: it is difficult to know for sure, but my best guess is that it may have been a benign mole or nevus. these are very common and can grow anywhere. other possibilities include a fungal infection, a varicosity, or some other type of skin infection. however, it is difficult to know for sure without seeing it or getting pathology results. I hope this helps, feel free to ask as many follow up questions as you need to until you are satisfied.

Brief Answer: Thank you for the puctures Detailed Answer: I looked over the pictures, and your description of the lesion was quite accurate. I am now even more certain that this is not an STD or a wart. I must qualify this by saying that without pathology results one cannot be 100% certain, but it appears to be a hyperpigmented nevus to me. if this does not resolve in the next few weeks, you should get a biopsy. however, I think if is likely benign, though again I will emphasize that without a biopsy I can't be totally sure.
