Question: Hello Sir / Madam,

I go to Gym every day and do heavy workout. I got to know that by taking BCAA - Branched-chain amino acids, energy level will increase and will help to do more workout. With my medical history as mentioned below, can I take BCAA or PROTEIN. If I take BCAA or PROTEIN what are the side effects and problems that I may face and how much I can take ?

Request you to please advice me on this.

Thanks & regards,

Brief Answer:
Diabetic diet

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

From the given history of cardiac problems and diabetes in the family. Here are my recommendations

1. Please do not take these supplements. Try to restrict yourself to natural proteins in the form of animal meat and vegetable proteins.
2. I do not recommend a high protein diet as it not only causes toxicity to the renal tubules but also causes increases atherosclerosis and uncontrolled sugars
3. Taking these medications can make your sugars out of control and also cause toxicity to the kidneys
4. Recommend protein is not more than 0.8/kg of protein per day

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me

Regards
