Brief Answer:

Detailed Answer:
Hello, ultrasound in early weeks of pregnancy is done for exact dating of pregnancy and cardiac activity.
If she is sure of dates and reluctant to get an internal ultrasound done then you can ask for external ultrasound from an experienced radiologist which will deliver the desired information most probably.
Bit just for your information sake there is usually no harm in internal ultrasound and it is a little more accurate than external one but if she is sure of her last menstrual period date then our main concern is just the presence of cardiac activity.
All the best.
