Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, you should know that it is quite normal for the heart rate to change during the day(from 60 to 100 bpm), based on your physical and emotional activity .

The heart rate you refer could be related to a stimulation of the sympathetic nervous system related to anxiety or physical activity.

So there is nothing to worry about, for just an episode with this heart rate.

In case of a persistent high heart rate, other causes should be investigated: chronic anemia, infection or inflammation, thyroid dysfunction, electrolyte imbalance, etc.

Do you have any other symptoms like palpitations, shortness of breath, fever, fatigue, etc.?

If this heart rate is persistent during the day, I recommend consulting with your attending physician for a careful physical examination and some tests:

- resting ECG
- complete blood count for chronic anemia
- PCR, sedimentation rate for inflammation
- thyroid hormone levels for possible thyroid dysfunction
- fasting glucose
- blood electrolytes

Hope to have been of help!

Feel free to ask any other questions, whenever you need!

Wishing all the best!
