Question: My 18 year old daughter struck her head on a door frame while coughing (due to cold or allergy symptoms), and now she has two distinct impressions as well as a lump between them? Is this cause for an ER visit?

Brief Answer:
There are a few symptoms to look out for, otherwise, relax

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
I can understand your worry .
I would like to inform you about few very important signs and symptoms that may occur after head injuries that need close observation and if you find any of them this will be an indication to visit emergency .

These are:

Nausea, vomiting , blurring of vision or double vision , loss of consciousness , any abnormal movement of arm and leg and increasing drowsiness etc.

If any of these are present then you must visit emergency room immediately and if none is present you should be assure that it's superficial injury and there is no internal bleed.
Keep watch on these dangerous features and work accordingly.
Hope this will help you . If you have any other concerns please feel free to message me . Thanks for contacting HCM .
