Brief Answer:
Decrease consumption of salt in diet

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcare-Magic
Greetings of the day

Food intolerance usually does not affect the blood pressure. Excessive intake of sugars on long term may lead to weight gain and may be the reason for diastolic hypertension.
The diet which you are experimenting is totally unacceptable and not healthy. I can see your oral intake of fluids and salt is less that is the reason the blood pressure normalises.
Apart from pharmacotherapy , consumption of diet less in salt is important for blood pressure control.

I would suggest you the following

1. Reduce intake of salt ub diet

2. Consume nutritionally balanced diet

3. Consume sufficient water

4. Regular exercise: especially 30 minutes of brisk walking at a stretch atleast once a day will be helpful

If the blood pressure is still high then antihypertensive medication will be required.

DO get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you

Thank you for your reply.

Some more information for you. please consider my question again in the light of this.

I do not have diastolic hypertension at all. Even when in a heightened state of anxiety the highest would be around 90. Typically it is around 70.

I have systolic hypertension.

My weight is 80kgs and I'm 180 cm tall and not fat. I do not smoke or drink.

I power walk 1hr a day every day.

I don't eat any salt and avoid salty (processed) foods.

I eat a healthy balanced organic diet, mostly vegetarian.

I drink plenty of water.

That apart, for almost four months in 2010 I cut out the four foods that I referenced in my question (as prescribed by a food intolerance service) and so my diet was not 'balanced' in the conventional sense, at all. During that time I did also eat salty food like ham and bacon, but no added salt. As I explained this was extremely effective at bringing my BP down and keeping it steady. The effect of that diet lasted almost 12 months before BP started creeping up again. That's highly effective wouldn't you agree?

The Master Cleanse that I've been using for ten years now is not a 'diet' and I don't use it to lose weight. It is a cleanse which in addition to effectively reducing my BP has numerous other health benefits. It was originated by Dr XXXXXXX Burroughs. The MC calls for two litres of the mixture a day and additionally I drink about another one litre of pure water. So I'm consuming 3 ltrs a day.

So manifestly this comment does not apply: "I can see your oral intake of fluids and salt is less that is the reason the blood pressure normalises."

Brief Answer:
Anti-hypertensive medication required

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir

Thanks for providing the additional information. Going through this i can still see that you had breakthrough hypertension inspite of being on diet control.

Persistent hypertension is a cardiovascular risk factor, apart from non pharmacotherapy measures like reduced salt intake, diet modification , lifestyle modifications it still requires Pharmacotherapy. Also long term use of Master cleanse in not recommended.

Pharmacotherapy treatment of hypertension by anti-hypertensive drugs has been proved beyond doubt to reduce the cards-vascular morbidity and mortality.
