Do not worry and follow below advice.
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for your query.
I appreciate your efforts for medical consultation in so much distress.
Important aspects of your query are:
• 19 year old male
• Complaints of: excessive
masturbation, weakness ,weak erection, weak memory, vibrating hands, numbness in parts of body, mumble words while speaking fast and repeat words while speaking
Masturbation is considered as a part of normal human sexual behaviour and it is very common among young males. It does not have any bad effects on health and does not lead to any medical problems.
Some people have many wrong ideas about masturbation - that it causes ill effects on health like nervous weakness, reduced energy, etc or sexual problems like impotence in the future. All this is not true and these are just myths and misconceptions. In general masturbation upto 1-2 times per day do not cause any issue.
But in some cases (like in yours) person involved in excessive masturbation and they lost control in its frequency. It frequently occur in anxiety disorder (but masturbation do not lead to anxiety disorder), as in anxiety disorder some patient have repeated sexual thoughts (obsessive thoughts) and masturbation provide some relaxation.
Your current symptoms like weakness, weak memory, vibrating hands, numbness in parts of body, mumble words while speaking fast and repeat words while speaking are common symptoms of anxiety, which will improve after treatment of anxiety.
Other symptoms of anxiety which may or may not be present in your case: nervousness,
restlessness, mild irritability, excessive worry regarding own health, tremor, muscle spasm, heaviness in body, easy fatigability, headache, sleep disturbance,
palpitation and dry mouth.
Anxiety occurs due to
neurotransmitters imbalance in brain most commonly involving serotonin neurotransmitter. Anxiety occur in 5-10% of general population.
There is need for treatment, if symptoms cause significant personal distress or affect personal/professional life. Both drug and non drug treatment like cognitive
behaviour therapy (form of
psychotherapy) are used for treatment. Choice of treatment depends on severity of symptoms, personal preference and availability of treatment.
In drug treatment two types of medicine used. For immediate relief of anxiety benzodiazepines group of medicines are used and for long term relief most commonly SSRI (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) are used. SSRI takes around 3-4 weeks to show its effect. Non drug treatment like cognitive behaviour therapy (form of psychotherapy) also takes weeks to show its effect.
All these process is complex. I have just simplified it to make you understand it. For help I would advice you to meet nearby
psychiatrist, as all above mentioned medicines are prescription medicines and need supervision.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you. In case of any doubt, I will be available for follow ups.
Wish you good health.
Regards,
