Azuran (azathioprine) is considered Class D drug which says that the animal studies have proven to cause teratogenicity in the foetus (that means malformations in the foetus) during pregnancy.

It was noted on all available information that there is NULL evidence that Azathioprine exposure had congenital malformations, spontaneous abortions, or stillbirth. You should note that the number of reported cases is not sufficient to detect a small increase in risks over the baseline rates in the general population.

If you think the remission is achieved after a prolonged struggle you should take this as benefit and plan for pregnancy. I still suggest it is the talk between your GI specialist, OBGYN and your daughter that should decide if your daughter wants to proceed with pregnancy or not.
