Is Bleeding For 3-6 Months After C-section Normal?

Question: Hi
I had an emergency c section on 1st March and bled for like 6 weeks and then saw some blood in my 8th week and now I'm bleeding again. It's not heavy, no foul smell and no abdominal pain. Pls what should I do

Thank for writing to us with your health concern.
IT is possible that this is your normal period.
Bleeding after childbirth is irregular for 3 - 6 months.
After that it stabilizes mostly into the pattern of regular menses.
So right now dont worry.
Just make sure you are using proper contraception, if you are sexually active.
Also, please consult your OB - GYN and have an internal exam plus pelvic ultrasounds can to rule out other abnormalities.
Keep a diary tracking your bleeding, so you can trace your periods.

Sorry to add, I had mild pre-eclampsia. My BP most often is normal but when I'm anxious it gets high. What should I do

YOu should get your BP measured , and keep a diary of the BP record.
If it is consistently high , you should continue taking antihypertensive medication.
Have low salt in your diet ( use Dabur XXXXXXX salt sparingly ).
Exercise regularly and maintain ideal body weight.
Practise yoga and meditation.
If anxiety is a big issue, talk to a psychologist for counselling and management tips.
