Brief Answer:
Yes, you need to follow dietary restrictions.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. You should avoid high purine content foods as it can increase your uric acid levels and stimulate a Gout attack.
You should avoid organ meats like liver , kidney , heart.
Avoid sweet breads, cakes, candies , sweetened beverages, sauces and gravies made with meat.
Avoid yeast extracts and supplements with that.
Avoid sea foods like sardines , anchovies , mussels , salmon etc.
Avoid beer and alcohol.

You can have whole grains like oats , brown rice , barley etc.
You can have low fat or skimmed milk.
Soup made without meat.
Low fat cheese , Egg nut and peanut butter.
You can take beans , lentil and asparagus which has limited purines.
You can have sweet potatoes.
Take more plain water.
Take more fruits. Fruits like banana , water melon , cherries etc help to decrease uric acid levels.
You can also take vitamin C supplements also which help to decrease uric acid levels.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.

Brief Answer:
It is betters to take uricosurics like Febutaz.

Detailed Answer:
Welcome again.

Thank you for your follow up.

It is better to take uricosurics like Febutaz. Usually it is given for 2 to 3 months. After that be careful with the dietary restriction. Your cholesterol level also should be checked and if it is high then should be managed with drugs like statins. There is a relation between high cholesterol and uric acid also.
