Is Vertin Safe For Motion Sickness?

Question: Hi. I have just travelled on a hour flight and am feeling motion sickness. I now have to travel for a 16 hour non stop flight. I have with me Domstal and Vertin 8 mg. I have taken one dose of Domstal. Can I take Vertin also along with Domstal. There is no chemist shop at airport, hence I have to manage with these 2 medicines only. Pl advice what medicines to be taken during the flight.

Domstal and vertin acts through different mechanisms and do not have any significant drug interactions.Hence vertin can safely be taken along with domstal.

In fact,vertin is a better drug to prevent and treat all the symptoms of motion sickness.Domstal only treats nausea and vomiting..

During flight to prevent motion sickness,you can take antihistamine group drugs like stugeron(cinnarizine),benadryl(diphenhydramine),promethazine(avomine) etc.The above said drugs can cause drowsiness,sedation.You should be cautious while taking the tablets belonging to same group.

Also drugs like stemetil(Prochlorperazine),Domstal(Domperidone) can be taken..
