Hello,
Thanks for your question on HCM.

Peritol is having cyproheptadine content and it is mostly used in allergy like rhinitis, hypersensitivity and chronic infections (to improve person's appetite)

However,it does NOT cause weight gain directly but it is appetite stimulator and it increases appetite and desire to eat more.

So after taking peritol, your appetite will start to increase and you will eat a lot and thus weight gain occur.

In addition to this tablet, you will also need to be careful with your diet and exercises to gain healthy muscle mass.

Means,to gain weight you will need to consume more calories every day from healthy foods and choose the right type of exercise.

You can have below mentioned diet.

1) Eat high calorie, high protein diet. Do not increase the intake of junk foods and greasy foods, this will contain unhealthy fats.

2) Eat healthy fats like omega-3 essential fatty acids sources like salmon,walnuts.

3) Eat good protein rich foods like lean meats, fish, poultry, egg white nuts, seeds, pulses and legumes.

4) Eat healthy carbohydrates like fruits, vegetables and whole grains.

5) Eat five to six small balanced meals per day rather than eating three large meals.

6) Protein powder and nutritional supplement drinks can also be added.

7) Consume a lot of high-calorie snacks (but not junk foods) such as cheese sticks, milk shakes, muffins, dried fruits, yoghurt.

8) Drink a lot of fluids that supply nutrients and calories like milk, fresh fruit juice and energy drinks.

9) Eat starchy vegetables like potatoes and corn more often.

10) Drink at least 2 glasses of milk, replace tea with milk.

11) Have eggs for breakfast. Custard is good for putting on weight.

12) Eat bananas and sapota milkshakes.

Exercises are also important for healthy weight gain. Resistance training exercises such as lifting weights will help to increase the muscle size.

Exercises like daily jogging, cycling, running and skipping would be good for at least half an hour daily and it would be much better than workout for 2 hours only on Sunday.

I have read your query and tried to understand your concern.

But please clarify me your query what you want to address regarding over night snacks and trying them in the mornings.

However,It would be advisable to have breakfast within 1 hour after getting up.

Because during sleep our metabolism is slow and it requires immediate energy or fuel to restart as usual. Also early breakfast improves our mood and reduces cortisol level.

Also,it is better to avoid over night snacks.

well that was actually what i wanted to know, if i had to have breakfast because i never have and apatite in the mornings...however something just came to mind..if i don't have and healthy/fit body this could affect my sex life right

You must have understood now the importance of having breakfast in the morning.

So,I would suggest you to take light food with milk or eggs whatever you like in the morning time even if you do not have good appetite. Means it always better to avoid empty stomach in the morning.

To have a healthy or fit body physique is good,but there is no direct relation between sex life and healthy body.

You can follow above instructions regarding your diet and exercises to put on some healthy weight and would suggest you NOT to bother about sex life especially if you feel that you are underweight.
