Is Paracetamol Safe To Be Taken For Breastfeeding?

Question: My wife is having fever from yesterday. She took Dolo 650 tablets yesterday and today (2 tabs a day). Now her body temperature is 101C.
She is still breast feeding our 9 month old daughter.

Can she breast feed our daughter? Shall we continue paracetamol tablets for few more days or shall we consult a doctor?

Please advise us.

Well first of all, please note that Paracetamol is safe during the breastfeeding, so yes, she can continue taking it (650mg of Dolo up to 3 times daily can be taken).. also drink plenty of water(luke warm preferred) to remain well hydrated...

You can observe till tomorrow, and if the fever doesn't improve despite this or any other associated symptoms appear, then my suggestion would be to simply get a prompt check-up done by any of your local physician or Internal Medicine specialist and management as per the findings accordingly...
