Question: Does Novel have side effects if used as birth control pill ? if yes then please suggest alternatives.

Novelon birth control pills are safe, causing minor side effects like weight gain, breast engorgement etc.
However, patients with hypertension, heart disease, migraine, liver disease and diabetes mellitus should not take it.
Other alternatives are XXXXXXX birth control pills , which are known not to cause weight gain.

Thank You for your answer. Can you please explain me the procedure of taking these pills. Also i had taken novelon 3 years back when i was diagnosed with ovarian cyst. After I had taken those pills, my problems reduced.

Hi dear, you should take these pills regularly and consistently at same time every day for 21 days, and then a gap for withdrawal bleeding, followed by other pack of pills.
