Is Norflox Safe For Stomach Pain And Loose Stool?
Question: I have an stomach uneasyness last 7 hr.and 3 times motion very softly.and stomach pain.now i am. Taking norflox tz .is it ok with this .or something else.

This is Dr.Riyanka and I am glad to be helping you with your query.
Your symptoms suggest you have gastroenteritis which could be due to a bacterial cause.
1.Since you are Taking Tablet norfoxacin and tinidazole (norflox TZ) i think you should be fine.
Make sure it is taken twice a day for continously for atleast 7 days.
2. You can take a medicine Tablet Pantoprazole 40mg early morning half an hour before food to prevent gastritis.
3. Since antibiotics kill even the good bacteria in our intestines kindly take lots of curd or tablet lactobacillus twice a day.
4. Supportive treatment is - eat bland food like curd rice, take lots of fluids, fresh hygenic juices or ORS solutions to prevent sodium imbalance due to diarrhoea.
5. If You have nausea or vomiting , you can take antiemetics(drugs preventing vomiting) like Domperidone or Ondensetron.
6. If it is accompanied by fever you can take paracetamol 650mg whenever the fever occurs.
Norflox-TZ may cause a side effect of metallic taste in the mouth but nothing to be worrried about.
