Posted on Tue, 19 Aug 2014
Question: I had intercourse with my wife today without protection and we are not ready for kids yet. She is on birth control pills-triprevifem past 5 months. Does she have to take any other pill now or the birth control pill itself is good to stop pregnancy?? Am worried.

Brief Answer:
Regularly taken pills are enough protection.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for posting your query.

As your wife is already on pills, if she is regular with the intake, this protection is enough. You will not need any additional protection.

During the first couple of months into the intake of pills, additional protection will be necessary and not needed after that period.

Hope your query has been answered. Please feel free to contact for further clarifications. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
