Brief Answer:
can be due to other causes

Detailed Answer:
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

GGT is a chemical found in many different areas of the body but mainly the liver ,kidney and pancreas.

Also found in smaller amounts in the intestines, spleen, heart and brain.

They are increased in alcohol use but there are also other causes since you do not use excess alcohol.
Other liver causes include (1) hepatitis - inflammation of the liver
(2)cholestasis- slow movement of bile
(3)lesion in the liver

Also some of the other causes are: (1)side effect of medications eg some birth control, some seizure meds, lasix, heparin
(2)pancreatitis - this would be associated with pain and other symptoms
(3)smoking
(4)lupus
(5)heart failure

If you are currently on oral contraceptives or using any other of the meds mentioned, this may be a cause.

The other causes (lesion in the liver, cholestasis, hepatitis, pancreatitis, hrt failure etc)- would normally be associated with significant symptoms so if you have no symptoms of any particular condition then the increase is not likely due to one of these.

Only other results significant are: (1) slightly increased WBC which is not likely significant because the ESR is normal

If infection was present the ESR would go up

Summary: (1) different possible causes but if you have no significant symptoms then not likely due to serious disease

(2)additional blood tests may give a clue

(3)may be due to medication, smoking (if have a history of smoking

I hope this helps, feel free to ask any other questions
