Question: My daughter is 10. She used very warm water to wash her vagina after using the bathroom. During the day we are splashing it with a mixture of betadine and water. It is gives some comfort but now it is itchy. Can i apply fucidin cream to the area?

Brief Answer:
Unlikely to help.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. The hot water could have caused some burn injury to the mucosa of the vagina and that could have led to inflammation of the affected area. This could be the primary reason for the itchiness. Betadine and fucidin are both anti bacterial agents. Although either of them can be applied, I doubt if there is any role in applying any of these. You need to give it a rest. Applying cool water may provide some relief. Please be patient. It should be fine back again in a few days.

Regards
