Brief Answer:
STOP the DHEA

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

DHEA is for Schizophrenia and NOT depression. It actually worsens your depression by causing mania and irritability.

Are you sure you are diagnosed depression & not schizophrenia and that it is a board certified doctor who gave you DHEA.

STOP the DHEA. ROsacea and Varicose vein will not have any effect with DHEA.

I did NOT start taking DHEA ,yet . It was NOT a prescription ,it is a supplement sold in stores .My question was ASKING you IF it would help depression ,it states in the supplement summary that it may ease depression symptoms ,associated with menapause ,etc.
I do not know what YOU are talking about , I do NOT take ANY prescription medicines for ANYTHING.
Like I said ,IF my question WAS read and UNDERSTOOD properly ,you would see that I did NOT take anything yet . I was looking for advice on a SUPPLEMENT with "DHEA " IN it and if it COULD help my depression ????

Brief Answer:
Evidence is strong that DHEA will help in depression and menopause

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

Sorry if i misunderstood you.

There is increasing evidence now that DHEA will help in depression and some symptoms of menopause. However still a great amount of research is pending, although pharma companies started manufacturing Over the counter supplements with it.

I think you should also have a word with your treating Gyno before you start it as she will be monitoring you physically.

Dr Som
