Brief Answer:
No sir, they are not
Detailed Answer:
Hello sir and welcome.
Thank you for writing to us.
No sir, ativan has the active ingredient lorazepam, which is not the same as clonazepam. Lorazepam is mainly used for anxiety disorders, whereas clonazepam is used to treat movement disorders, panic disorders and also to treat seizures.
I hope you find my response helpful. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications, I am always here to help.

Brief Answer:
Why don't you give it a shot?
Detailed Answer:
Hi sir.
Both of them can help with providing some amount of sleep, although they have other targets as well. May be your doctor thought clonazepam would help you more than the other drugs; so why don't you give clonazepam a chance and go in a trial for about 2 weeks and then report to your preacribing doctor if you feel it isn't helping you.
Best wishes.
