Brief Answer:
FOLLOW THE ADVICE.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us.

1) Tab AMOX 500 contains Amoxicillin which is FDA Pregnancy Category- A drug. It is COMPLETELY safe during pregnancy period.

2) Tab DERIPHYLLIN RETARD contains Etofylline - Pregnancy Category D and Theophylline - Pregnancy Category C.

*Category-C > Animal reproduction studies have shown an adverse effect on the fetus and there are NO adequate and well-controlled studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.

** Category-D> There is positive evidence of human fetal risk based on adverse reaction data from investigation or marketing experience or studies in humans, but potential benefits may warrant use of the drug in pregnant women despite potential risks.

To summarize, Deriphyllin Retard is NOT completely safe during pregnancy and it can be used only when there is NO safe alternatives in spite of potential risk. I suggest you to consult with your doctor regarding this.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish your good health and successful motherhood.

Regards,
Dr Soumen
