Question: Please suggest me am I on right path in curing my intestine tuberculosis?
It has been four months I am using medicines for tuberculosis. Intially I started with AKT 4 with perinorm cd and B active. After month I stopped perinorm cd and after two months I stopped AKT4 and taking AKT3. After starting AKt 3 I felt nausea so doctor suggested me to take perinorm cd for a week.
Intially I took akt3 in the morning but once I complained about nausea doctor has asked me to take it in night before dinner and Moring perinorm cd for a week.

Brief Answer:
your in right pathway only..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX welcome to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern,

Yes I've reviewed all the reports and prescriptions and let me assure you that your in the right pathway only..

Yes, the biopsy report's quite likely indicating towards Abdominal Tuberculosis only..

Since recurrence of nausea is there, so you should continue the Preinorm for another 1-2 weeks.. Please make sure to get your LFT rechecked from time to time (in case of excessive nausea/vomiting, it should be repeated)..

ATT drugs should be continued for at least 6 months, and may be even more depending on the body's response and overall cure, so please continue as already advised by your Doctor..

Let me know if there's any further queries..

Kind Regards

Brief Answer:
surgery is mostly recommended for complications ..

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX welcome back,
Thanks for following up,

Actually this is primarily managed with ATT and other medications only, and surgery is only reserved for complications (severe adhesions, fibrosis, complete bowel obstruction, perforation, stricture etc.).. it's still too early to comment on that and you must finish the complete course of ATT and then undergo for repeat check-ups in the first place..

So, for this, you need to remain under strict follow-ups of your doctor as well as serial imaging investigations (Recheck colonoscopy from time to time, CECT-Abdomen etc.).. also it's important to note how are the symptomatic improvement along with quality of life..

So don't worry, but do keep on following up and continue taking ATT till advised otherwise.. do maintain high protein intake in mostly simple home cooked meals..
