Is A Blood Count Hcg 8 At 9-10 Dpo Negative?
Question: Hi. 9 weeks ago i had a d&c at 12 weeks pregnant. Since then first response early pregnancy test and dollar store tests have remained positive. This cycle i had a positive ovulation test and actively tried to convceive. I took a digital test on saturday and it waa negative. Took same test monday and it was positve. And tuesday and wednesday negative again. The first response test line also went significantly lighter over night. I took a blood pregnancy test at 9-10dpo and the hcg level was only 8. So my questions are
A). Is there a chance i might be pregnant
B). If i had the digital that was initially nehative saturday, positive monday and negative tuesday and wednesday. And also a fading pink line, does that it was a false negative?
C). Is A blood count hcg 8 at 9-10 dpo negative.
Also bear in mind i am 10dpo today.

Hello mam, thanks for trusting health care magic.
After reading all the history its sure that there is no pregnancy and the positive urine pregnancy results were due to the effect of HCG raised in previous pregnancy which ended in abortion.
Most important in confirmation of pregnancy is blood bHCG testing which in your case is 8 read as negative test.
The positive ovulation test on Monday was true positive most probably as it comes positive when urine has LH levels above 20 IU called as LH surge which eventually leads to ovulation.
LH surge appears for a small duration and wanes rapidly thus explains negative test on Tuesday and Wednesday.

I am paying for this so please read my questions properly. I never mentioned an ovulation test! I said i got a negative digital PREGNANCY TEST on saturday. A POSITIVE PREGNANCY TEST monday with the same brand and then subsequent digital negatives monday and tuesday. Also i never said abortion!! It was a MISCARRIAGE that let to D&C. Anyways i was giving you a history that on may 24th i got a positive ovulation test and had intercourse that day and next. So now i at 10dpo im confused if thd preg tests are a true pregnancy or from the old one. Thd digitals are negative but the tests witg lines show a faint line positive. I am aware it might be traces from the old one.
Also a blood test result with hcg level 8 at 9dpo was that too early to test? Should i test again or consider it a true negative

- Since you did it on day 8-9 after ovulation it can be a little early a pregnancy which is not showing in bHCG so repeat the bHCG test on day 14 post ovulation.
- faintly positive urine pregnancy tests can persist after miscarriage for about 8-12 months.
- false positive urine pregnancy tests occur with a frequency of 2%.

I thought a positive test for early pregnancy was 5-50 miu in early pregnancy.
