There are many reasons of leg pain and inability to lift leg.
Due to spinal disc bulge there can be compression of nerve supplying your leg leading to pain and difficulty in walking. You may need to do MRI spine to see for nerve compression.
Due to compression of nerve there is leg pain with it.

Is it normal,to have pain in the pubic bone with sciatica
doctor
Answered by Dr. Vaibhav Gandhi (31 hours later)
Brief Answer:
No ,it indicates other pathology

Detailed Answer:
Hello again,

In sciatica there is usually pain on posterior ischeal bone and thigh posteriorly.

Pain in pubic bone which is anteriorly indicates pain arising from hip joint.

As you are taking prednisone there can be early Avascular necrosis of femoral head ,I will advise you to do MRI hip joint.

Take care.
