Brief Answer: Please, has your thyroid gland been checked? Detailed Answer: Hi and thank you so much for this query. I am so sorry to hear about this extremely cold feeling. The most common cause of this symptom is hypothyroidism. If your thyroid gland has not been checked, I will strongly recommend that you get that done. Other symptoms of hypothyroidism include a dry skin, constipation, fluid retention, low heart rate, fatigue, falling hair, etc. High cholesterol and electrolytes imbalance could also be caused by this. Screening for thyroid disorders is very easy. A TSH level would immediately shed more light on whether there is a problem with this or not. Depending on the initial findings, a plan would be established with you on how to proceed. Talk about this with your treating physician and get this test done. I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Dr. Ditah, MD.
