Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic
Greetings of the day

Dear Sir

Swelling of foot in previously operated case , possibility of lymphatic oedema (lymphedema ) needs to be considered. Exact diagnosis will depend on clinical examination.

It would be very helpful if you could provide me with the following additional information

1. What was indication 9f doing surgery ?

2. When did you first notice swelling of foot after surgery?

3.Is there associated itching or discharge from foot ?

4. Is there any redness of overlying skin ?

Brief Answer:
Possibly due to Lymph oedema

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir

Lymph edema could be the possible reason for swelling. I would suggest you the following

1. Use elastocrepe bandage during day. It will reduce the swelling

2. Keep the foot elevated during sleep by placing 1 to 2 pillows under the leg. It will reduce oedema by providing drainage by gravity.

3. Restrict salt intake

You can click the picture of foot and upload it in upload reports available on this website for further assessment.

Take care

Best regards
Dr Deepak
