Hi
Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic.
I need to know if you are experiencing side effects of verapamil like constipation, facial flushing, nausea and dizziness. Dizziness may happen when the blood pressure is low. Slow heart rate may also happen. You can count your own pulse for one minute and let me know the value.
The usual dose of verapamil is 80 to 120 mg three times a day or 180 mg daily sustained release formulation. From your query I am not able to figure out the dose that you regularly take and the dose you have taken today. The daily dose of sustained release formulation can be increased upto 480 mg daily. So if you have taken 360 mg, you are still in safe margin. You need to monitor your symptoms.
If the blood pressure is getting low then you will need to see a doctor to take medicines (calcium chloride etc) to restore it. If you have calcium supplements at home, you may take 2 tablets now. But it is not equivalent of treatment under doctor's supervision.
Waiting for your response.
