Brief Answer:
Spinal TB is fully treatable.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your mom's symptoms. First of all, I would like to reassure that your mom's spinal TB is fully treatable.

It requires 12-18 months of anti-tuberculous medications.

If treated, we do not expect any complications.

If left untreated, there may be compression of the spinal cord, leading to weakness of arms and legs.

Please let me known once the biopsy reports comes.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.

Thanks doctor. What are the chances of it being bone cancer? If its in early stage- is it treatable? What are the choices we have?

Brief Answer:
The chances of cancer are very low.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

Based on the description, the chances of this being bone cancer is very low.

If the cancer is in early stage, it can be treated. The choice would depend on the biopsy findings.

Best wishes,
