Question: Dear Sir/Mam,
PLease help with a medical adivice , my wife had her last period on 08.10.14 and till date she is still expecting period , i m doubting if she is pregnanat .I do not needthe baby now ,so please let me what should i do or suggest any medical abortion procedure

First we need to confirm that whether she is pregnant or not.
If her due date is 8th November, then I suggest you get Urine pregnancy test done on 13th November with early morning urine sample or you can go for blood HCG test which gives accurate results, if it is negative then she is not pregnant.
If you have done urine test, if it is negative then repeat the test again after 2 days if still negative then need not to worry, tell her to wait for one more week to get periods, if she will not get then visit a doctor who will prescribe Progesterone medication for 3-5 days, once she stops medication she will get bleeding after 5-7 days.
If it is positive and you do not want to continue pregnancy then visit a gynecologist for medical termination with oral or vaginal medications. These medications should be taken under supervision of gynecologist to prevent complications like heavy bleeding, infection and incomplete miscarriage.

Yesterday i even enquired in the.medical shop for the use of mifepristine and misopristol but they were confused on the usage of misoprostol .One told 4 tablelts to be taken together as single dose vaginally/orally and the other told 2 tablets vaginally/orally later after 24 hrs 2 tablets of misoprostol again.
Please help me with correct process based gestation duration(Last period date 07.10.14),Followed by side side effects and warning indicators of emergency

Doctor may go for medical termination by giving MTP kit which contains 2 type of pills Mifipristone and Misoprostal. Mifipristone 200 mg should be taken on day 1 (mostly morning time) and after 48 hours misoprostal 4 pills should be taken vaginally. But these medication should be taken with gynecologist or your primary doctor suggestions, once doctor’s give this medication you can use it at home after doctor’s consultation.

Can i not take all the zitotec tablets orally as i am not sure o will be able to carry the vaginal process properly please guide .
Also let me know after how hours of misoprotol intake will bleeding start and for how many days it will happen.As the gyno told till 14 days there might be bleeding

Yes, misoprost can be taken orally and vaginally, bur better take vaginally, since misoprost can cause vomiting most of the doctor s suggest vaginally. May be your doctor to avoid this side effect she suggest two tabs orally (Since you do not know how to use vaginally) and two tabs vaginally, if you take 4 tablets orally it will cause vomiting and medicine will come out and you have to repeat the dose.
Wash your hands before use medications, take tablets, put between two fingers (index and middle finger) and insert into vagina as much as deep.
Bleeding will start after 2-4 hours of misoprostal.
Yes, it can last for 2 weeks. It will be heavy for 3-5 days after that bleeding will be decreased.
