Question: Hii...i am 7 weeks pregnant but don't want to continue with this pregnancy so i consulted my doctor n she prescribed me to take mifepristone 1 tab when i was 5 weeks pregnant, also zitotec 200 mg 2 tab after 1 day...but it didn't work. Still my pregnancy is as it is n she is telling me to go for DNC. So is this procedure ok or anyother way to abort by pill...because i don't want to go for DNC..

Above procedure is absolutely right way to abort early pregnancy. However, D & C is required in case of incomplete abortion or failed MTP.

Here, I suggest you to consult with local gynecologist for reassessment of the abortion procedure. He/ she may decide to give higher dose of abortion pill to complete the abortion procedure or proceed for D & C (best option).
