Brief Answer:
There is no cause of concern if object is not sharp

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome to Healthcaremagic
Greetings of the day

Dear Ms

If the object is not sharp, it's unlikely to cause any harm. Majority of objects are spontaneously expelled out asking with the stools. As you have no pain or bleeding there is no cause for concern.
Do ensure adequate intake of water and fibre in diet which will take care of it. If you not seeing it get passed out , it should spontaneously pass out soon. So kindly wait and watch. Do let me know what was the small object.

Take care

Thanx doctor. I was really scared. actually i read in google that objects inside anus might lead to sepsis/other infections which may require also a surgery. so in my case there is no danger? no need to go to the hospital?? the object is very small. it's a pen's upper part where we put the refill. and once it was strucked immediately after 10 mins i passed my stool. so no problem for future?? please reply me asap

Brief Answer:
There is no cause for concern

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ms

As it's a small blunt object it will get passed out spontaneously and there is no cause for concern. Sepsis ams other related complications are usually seen with sharp foreign body which perforate the colon. Blunt foreign body will get passed out through stools.

As you do not have any symptoms there is no cause for concern.

Take care

thanx doctor.. 1 last query.. as i told that i have already passed out stool 2 times.. then is there any chance the the object would have passed out?? if not will i be able to see it passing out with the stool??and if i cant see it then do i need to worry or eventually it wil go out?? it happened yesterday so is there any chance of it getting strucked somewhere inside and later creating complications?? or it s a common thing and definately will get passed out ??please clear my confusions..

Brief Answer:
Possibility of it having passed out is high

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ms

As you had passed stools twice immediately after insertion of foreign body , it is likely to have already passed out. Even if it's still there its likely to get passed spontaneously. Majority of times its possible to visualise in stools , if not you can stop bothering about it as it will get passed out spontaneously.
Rest be assured there is no cause for concern.

Wishing you great Health

Brief Answer:
Enema will be helpful

Detailed Answer:
Dear Ms

The minor irritation is unlikely to be due to the foreign body inserted. i am of the opinion that the foreign body could have already passed out.

I would suggest you the following home remedies that will help relieve your symptoms

1. Hot Seitz Bath: To a tub of lukewarm water add 2 spoons of antiseptic solution. Sit in it for 15 to 20 minutes twice a day. it will relieve irritation

2. Local application of either liquid paraffin or moisturizing cream around the anus will be helpful

3. Oral Laxatives like Lactulose will help

4. Sodium phosphate enema which can be used at home will help in evacuation of faecal matter and will help in expulsion of foreign matter if still present. The foreign matter is inert and will not cause any problem
