How To Regain Physical Strength?

Question: I have been ailing in my bed for eight months due to a depressing after the death of multiple family members in the year before. The last straw was my long term companion left me last September and my beloved dog waS put to sleep (lymphoma) on October 4th. I took to my bed, watching tv and didn't care whether I lived or died. A friend did my grocery shopping. I feel better now (emotionally) but find myself very weak. I don't have many resources (car, money, Ect, ) because I've been on a government disability. But I and afraid of the damage I did stating in my bed so long. How do I regain my strength? Please, please Help me. Thank you!

First of all i am very sorry to hear about all the horrible things you had to go through. You can be very proud of yourself for emotionally feeling better. To regain physical strength there is no special diet necessary, but you should eat regular, healthy, best home cooked meals. Maybe you could even cook together with some friend or friends to have some encouraging company. Getting a new dog is a really great idea since that will male sure you get out for walks, since moving and fresh air and light are some of the best cures for your problem. It is important to take one step at a time and don't set the goals too high in the beginning.

Start a list with small positive activities, make a week plan and do one of then each day, even if it is hard in the beginning. Step by step this will lift you up.

If possible, psychological consulting would also be of great help for you.
