Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thanks for writing to us at healthcaremagic

I am Dr. Kakkar. I have gone through your query and I have understood it.

Can you upload a digital photograph which clearly shows the scars, so that I am able to guide you better?

Chicken pox can leave behind atrophic/ depressed scaring just like acne. Pox scars are not harmful but they can be unsightly and most people would want to get rid of them, specially if they are on face.

There are various treatment options available with a dermatologist which can help improve the appearance of pox scars like Fractional CO 2 Laser, Punch excision and elevation, punch excision and primary closure, subcision etc

One of these is Fractional CO 2 Laser. In this procedure Laser passes are given through the entire scar, this causes stimulation of new collagen synthesis as part of wound healing process and ultimately a filled up scar.
The number of sittings depend on the depth of the scar. Generally 3-4 sittings achieve a final good cosmetic result.

Other option is punch excision and elevation technique, in which the scar is punch incised and is elevated to the level of the surrounding skin by elevation technique.

Another option is punch excision and primary closure, in which the scar is punch excised and then the wound edges are sutured to result in a linear, superficial, level scar.

Finally, subcision is also an option, in which the fibrous band pulling down on to the scar is broken or cut by sweeping a needle through the band.

I would suggest that you visit a dermatologist in your region and discuss in detail about the best suitable method in your case.

Brief Answer:
Contact a dermatologist in your region

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

The choice of treatment/procedure depends on the expertise of the treating doctor.

Procedures can be combined together to achieve maximum results e.g Subcision followed by punch elevation can be combined together; Fractional CO2 Laser sessions can also be combined with subcision.
Punch excision followed by primary closure and punch excision followed by grafting should only be performed by a dermatosurgeon Or plastic surgeon.

Make sure that the doctor has performed such cases before and you can also have a look at before/after clinical pictures of the patients he/she would have done previously.

You can contact either a dermatologist/dermatosurgeon Or a plastic surgeon in your region for more details.

Brief Answer:
Visit a dermatologist Or plastic surgeon

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

I would suggest that you personally visit a dermatologist in your region and do a bit of research yourself too. Don't just go by someone's suggestion.

A visual examination is the best way to judge the problem accurately. Most of the dermatologist do fractional CO 2 Laser; may be that would be good enough for you. You may need a few sessions. If your dermatologist also says that you might need a bit of surgical correction too (either subcision or punch elevation or primary closure) in addition to laser, go for it after thorough discussion with your doctor and what can you expect from the procedure.

You should also take an opinion of a plastic surgeon.

My advice would be to not jump on to a solution before properly verifying and understanding what your doctor says. You should be absolutely sure about the doctor and your doctor should also be sure about your expectation from the procedure to avoid any disappointments after the procedure.

I am not aware about XXXXXXX UP. I can suggest you a clinic in XXXXXXX Cocoona in Malviya XXXXXXX N XXXXXXX Dr XXXXXXX XXXXXXX is a cosmetic and plastic surgeon. He is mostly in dubai but you can contact him when he visits XXXXXXX Or if you can visit Dr XXXXXXX Savant In XXXXXXX it would be good.
