Hello and welcome to Healthcare Magic. Thanks for your query.

Prostate massage can be done either for sexual stimulation or medical purposes (i.e. by doctors for diagnostic purposes and in olden days (not now), advocated as a treatment for prostate gland infections).

In order to know how to do a prostate massage, you must first know a little bit about the anatomy and functions of this gland. The prostate gland is a gland which is located in the pelvic area, just below the urinary bladder and surrounding the initial part of the urethra (i.e. the urinary passage). The prostate gland produces certain secretions which in addition to secretions from certain other glands constitute the liquid part of the semen.

However, a direct stimulation / massage of the prostate can also cause the gland to give out its secretions. Some men find this sensation of prostate massage / stimulation sexually pleasurable, and sometimes can even achieve an orgasm or climax, just by this alone.

A prostate massage can be done in two ways:

1) Through the rectum i.e. by inserting your finger into the anus and massaging on the bulge which you feel on the front wall of the rectum. This is the more common and more effective method.

2) By massaging the "perinium". This is the area of skin between the scrotum (testicular sac) and the anal opening.

These are a few preparations which you may want to do for doing a prostate massage (especially the rectal method):

- Trim your nails and file the sharp edges such that no jagged edges are sticking out.
- Ensure that your partner has urinated and had a good bowel movement before the massage.
- Clean your hands and the anal area with warm water and soap.
- You can optionally use latex gloves for your hands.
- It is better to use a lubricant - preferably a watre-based gentle lubricant.

Here's the way you do the massage:

- Lubricate your hand, especially the index finger, with the lubricant. If required, lubricate the anus generously before stimulating your prostate.
- Ask your partner to lie flat with his back relaxed and his legs bent on his knees.
- With your index and middle finger touch and rub the perineum or skin underneath the testicles that leads up to the anus.
- Insert your index finger into the anus until the second knuckle.
- When you feel a small bulge, on the front wall, you are in the right location.
- Use a gentle forward and backward motion to locate the most pleasurable spot.
- Massage the spot that gives most pleasure.
- Many men prefer to have their penis also stimulated simultaneously during the prostate massage.
