Brief Answer:
Exercises are important to increase bone density ( strength)

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query

I'm Dr Sudhir Kumar

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. To increase bone strength you has to take sufficient vit D and calcium. But most important is exercises as stress only lead to increased bone density. If you only take calcium and vitamin D but not exercises then bones are not going to strengthen. So most important are exercises. Now came to calcium. Milk is food rich in calcium but for absorption of calcium vit D3 is needed and calcium absorption is regulated according to need of body. So it is important to do exercises. Vitamin D is activated to vitamin D3 by sunlight so sufficient sunlight is essential fot vitamin D3 formation . Alternate to this is you can take vitamin D3 supplements if your vitamin D3 is low( by blood test) .Rich sources of vitamin are milk and milk products and bananas. You should take 2 glasses ( nearly 500 ml) of milk per day to fulfill daily requirement.

You can discuss with your doctor about it.

Hope your query get answered. If you have any clarification then I will be happy to help you.

Wishing you a good health.
Take care.
