Question: Am getting headche often,which will be there continuously for 4 to 5 days

Brief Answer: Headache Detailed Answer: Dear XXXX Thanks for contacting Ayurveda with your health query and following points needs consideration before initiating Ayurveda Management i.e. Dietary Regime & Lifestyle Management with Medicines 1. since brain has no pain receptors, thus headache is commonly due to pathology in pain sensitive structures around the brain. 2. going by your Age the most common headache around this age group is "tension headache" due to muscle tightness [feeling of tight band]?? and is caused due to prolonged Tension like Stress, Anxiety, Depression or head injury [kindly confirm for any such cause]. 3. Any associated contributory factor: Bad posture,working or sitting in one position or in an awkward way. 4. any food allergy or drinking caffeine,lack of exercise,being overweight. 5. Is it work related or lifestyle related Headache? and whether it is bilateral or unilateral?? 6. It is recommended that as a routine one must test the following signs [so kindly have a health checkup, at your nearest Hospital or Clinic] for the following i. Blood Pressure for Hypertension. ii. Sinus Tenderness over maxillary & frontal sinuses, and look for any focus of infection in teeth, tonsils & ears. iii. tenderness on nape of neck or pain on neck movements. iv. if associated fever, check with neck stiffness. v. Check eyesight for any refractive error and blood sugar for low glucose in blood. PS If there is any neurological sign found by General Physician he may refer you for Neurologist opinion please revert back with your clarifications for further line of treatment.
