Hello
Welcome to Health Care Magic

You are a young guy and have some bad past memories and you want to forget them. First of all I would like to tell you that there is no medicine available that can therapeutically help in forgetting past. So you have to just rely on Psychological methods to forget them.

You can try following things-

- Divert your attention completely from the bad memories. If that is not possible then try to keep yourself busy in work, studies. It is the work or study which can only help you to move on.

- Second thing is Behavior Therapy. Behavior Therapy is a Psychosocial modality of treatment. It is a complex method and used in a lot of disorders. You have to visit a psychologist for this. It consist of following steps-

First of all therapist teach relaxation methods to individual. The methods commonly consist of Progressive Muscle Relaxation Exercise or Breathing Exercises. Some therapists use biofeedback also. Once individual learn to relax himself then therapy progress to next step.

Next step consist of making a list of most distressing memories in order of severity. I know this is a difficult step but you have to do it. In this step low dose Clonazepam can be taken in order to relieve distress and anxiety.

After the list is prepared then in next visit individual is asked to remember the bad memories or to relive the trauma again. When distress occurs he is asked to relax himself by Progressive Muscle Relaxation (PMR) that has been taught to individual in first step. Gradually in subsequent visits individual is exposed to most distressing memory. With time individual learn to relax himself even with memories. Once the memories fail to produce distress then they start fading away by own.

This is a complex process and need at least twice a week visits for about 4-6 weeks. You will definitely see improvement in yourself by Behavior Therapy.

One thing I would like to advise you, please don't use any drugs or substances to forget the memories. These things will only increase the stress. Usually in times of distress the individual tend to fell in addiction. So please try to remain away from them.

Hope it helps, if you have more questions you can ask again.

Thanks
