How To Get Of Boil Scars On Buttocks?

default
Posted on Wed, 15 Jul 2015
Question: I have had what I thought to be 'boils' on the backside of my buttocks for the past 7 months. They appear almost as bad bruises and I have tried" antibiotic cream, hydrogen peroxide, with XXXXXXX and NOTHING is working. As a four year old child(a hellava long time back), I had boils and they lanced them and I have scars to show for that brilliant solution. I cannot see well enough to figure out what the heck.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Welcome to health care magic,

I have read the query and understand the concern.

If they are boils then it must visually inspected to confirm the diagnosis.

Can you send me the clinical picture of that boil or bad bruise as there is a feature to upload images on the right side of query page.

It would be helpful for me to understand it properly.

If it is boils then it could be because of

i) blockage of ducts present in the skin when becomes infected or
ii) infection of hair follicle or
iii) poor hygiene or
iv) increased blood sugar.

In case of smaller boils, proper oral antibiotics course (preferably cephalosporins like cefadroxyl or cefixime) will be the best treatment to get rid off it.Antibiotic cream or ointment or hydrogen peroxide is less effective.

In larger boils (more than 3 to 4 cm),it needs to be drained completely under local anaesthesia by a surgeon.

Hope this information will help you and get back to me with images.
