Brief Answer:
Moisturizer and sunscreen agents...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concern. There are multiple products advertised as complexion shade enhancing agents in the market now a days. However I am not aware if any of those have scientific basis backing their claims.

In my opinion, combination of moisturizer and sunscreen with good SPF value are the most effective means to improve your complexion. You may visit a local dermatologist and get good sunscreen as well as moisturizers prescribed. If I were to be your treating doctor, then I would suggest suncross sun screen with SPF 26 and cetaphil moisturizer. Use it liberally before you get into the sun.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Brief Answer:
Kojivit cream...

Detailed Answer:
Besides oral glutathione tablets, nicotinamide available as nia 250mg are also known to reduce melanin secretion, thereby enhancing skin complexion. However the changes found in my opinion aren't permanent. If you wish to continue these medications life long, you need to be regularly followed up by a doctor. I will not recommend you taking these drugs for prolonged periods without supervision. Therefore if you wish to try them, please consult a dermatologist.

I recommended sunscreen + moisturizer as my first answer because these don't come with side effects and it can be used for prolonged period even life long. Another such treatment that can be used for prolonged period is kojic acid; available as kojivit cream. You may try it.

Besides kojivit, 2% hydroquinone creams such as brite creams may be used under supervision.

Lastly, if you are looking for excellent skin lightening solution, you may try chemical peels done by dermatologist. They provide excellent skin complexion improvement and can be repeated regularly with least side effects.

In a nutshell, for some one looking for skin lightening options, I suggest the following options:
1. Sunscreen + moisturizer
2. Kojivit cream
3. Chemical peels
4. Oral glutathione / oral nicotinamide drugs - only under supervision of a dermatologist
5. 2% hydroquinone creams.

Hope this helps. Let me know if you need clarifications.

Thanks for your reply and suggestions.
Chemical peels i can do only for face what about other parts of the body? but if i use glutathione tablets it will improve complexion overall not only on face. actually i have darkness around mouth. even after going for chemical peels it didnot help me much and also lightening creams didnot help. but after taking glutathione tabs the darkness was completly gone.
and nicotinamide is used for something else not skin lightening i guess.
i belive you are also dermatologist. Why cant you prescribe me a good lightening tablets only tabs which will completly reduce or erase darkness around mouth.

Brief Answer:
need to visit a dermatologist to try oral medications...

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

As I mentioned earlier, the drugs do not permanently give you fair complexion. Moreover consulting a doctor online via this forum has it's limitation. Medical ethics as well as laws don't allow us to prescribe or supervise treatment. Therefore the need to visit a dermatologist for treatment as well as supervision.

Hope I am clear.
