How To Determine Ovulation Days?

default
Posted on Wed, 2 Dec 2015
Question: Today was my first visit with an RE after 18 months of trying. Today is day 15 of my cycle and the clear blue ovulation predictor showed a flashing smiley face yesterday and today but no peak yet. The RE did an ultrasound which showed the ovary had released and egg but no free fluid and the uterus was fluffy. So do you know when I possible ovulated? And what does it mean to not have free fluid and have a fluffy uterus?

Brief Answer:
Ovulation has occurred recently

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns about ovulation.

You are likely to have ovulated yesterday night.

Free fluid is not always seen during ovulation and sometimes it is seen late if ovulation has occurrred few hours back.

Fluffy uterus also suggests ovulation.

I think today is the good time to try for pregnancy. I suggest you have sexual intercourse as soon as possible for maximum benefit.

Let me know if you need anymore help.

Regards

Do you think I missed ovulation. I had intercourse on the night of the Nov.9th. The ultrasound was done on Nov.12 about 2pm that showed the follicle was collapsed, uterus was 8mm, and showed a trilaminar effect. We went home and had intercourse at 4 pm on Nov 12 th.

Brief Answer:
Not missed

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I don't think you have missed ovulation.

You had sex when your egg was still good and viable.

There are chances of pregnancy.
