Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX
Thanks for writing in to us.

Please do not get worried about high blood glucose levels of 382 mg/ dl. You must get fasting and post prandial blood glucose estimation done at a good lab near your place. Then it would be best to consult a diabetologist or internal medicine specialist and get a complete body clinical examination done.

Any medications must be started under direct supervision of your doctor as taking medications without proper amount of food can get dangerous. Medications commonly prescribed are oral hypoglycemic agents and insulin.

You need to relax your mind and take things easy as one in five people around you may be having diabetes. Controlling your sugar levels is the best way to healthy living. You may also get HbA1c test done every 3 months to know how good your blood sugar is controlled.

Taking a good diet is important. You may have to involve in regular fitness plans and take a daily calorie intake of approximately 1800 kCal.
