How To Check If Hymen Is Intact?

default
Posted on Tue, 27 Dec 2016
Question: Hi,
My age is 28 and my wife is 26. We both are writing this to you.
We got married two weeks back and tried to have sex a week after marriage. After attempting for two days, we could not do it. She keeps on telling about the right hole to put it in but its too small for a big penis to target that hole and get in. Whenever I tried, she says its not in the right spot but here and there but causing pain. She is even worried that no blood came out after the two attempts. Few months ago she saw very faint blood after masturbating. Does that already mean her hymen is broken? She is worried why the blood didn't come after sex. Is it because we didn't do it right and the hymen is still intact? We both were virgins beforehand. Since we have known each other for 7 years hence the understanding is very good and not planning to go ahead until we know if everything is right.

Brief Answer:
Bleeding is not a sign of loss of virginity

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXX,
Thanks for using healthcare magic.

I read your query and understand your concerns.

First of all I like to inform you that bleeding during first intercourse or any day is not a confirm sign of loss of virginity. In this era of active social life girls get rupture of hymen long back before they realise/know about sex. It may be due to playing, cycling, swimming and lot more.

However it is possible that she got deflorated few months back while masturbating. I mean to say that this is not unusual and very well possible.

In my view this is just our society's myths about virginity and bleeding during first time and nothing more.

The most important thing is to be comfortable with each other.

Now regarding your further sex life I feel there is need for more time to foreplay. Without this part there will be always disparity between the size of penis and size of vagina. I mean to say that without proper stimulation the sex will be pain and not a pleasurable activity. Ideally have at least 15-20 minutes before you position yourself for intercourse. I must assure you that wall of vagina is stretchable and can accommodate any size of human penis.

You need to go further but with proper exploration of all body parts and sex should not be not limited to genitals (vagina and penis).

I hope this helps you.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for my future patients.
