How To Check For Successful Medical Abortion?
Question: Hello dr.
I usually have irregular periods and my period date was 18 aug but it is delayed again as usual so on 24 aug I took pregnacy test and it was negative. But I didnot get my period till 7 sep so I took another pregnacy test and it was positive so on 10 sep I took mifeprex in the morning and after 48 hrs I took 2 misoprostal orally and within 4 hrs very light bleeding was start and after exaclty 12 hrs I again took 2 misoprostal orally to complete the course. But from yesterday to now I feel no cramping and no pain and bleeding is also very light like 2 or 3 spots. But my breast start to loose and I feel no vomitting now..Please tell me what to do??? Is this normal

If you are not having any symptoms then either you have completely aborted or there is failure of abortion with medicines.
We can only know this by a sonography.
Get a sonography pelvis done so that we can know the exact cause of no pain, bleeding despite taking misoprostol

Can I use a pregnancy test to confirm. And one thing to ask as bleeding starts yesterday a white color jelly like substance of a size of 1 rupee coin with red threads on it came out. What was that?? Do I need to repeat misoprostal again. Please tell me another way to confirm whether I abort or not..or please tell me any medicine so that my period contineoued so all rest of the waste came out...because I cannot go for sonography right now as I don't want my family to know about it..

2) white color jelly like substance of a size of 1 rupee coin with red threads was your FETUS PARTS (TINY BABY PARTS).
3) You can take tablet methotrexate. It is also a good abortion drug.
4) You can get a sonography without letting your family know. It is your right and if you are above 18 years you do not need parents or family. You are an adult.

If it comes positive then you have to take it.
It is not normal to have less bleed after misoprostol unless you have already completely aborted.
